Your mission:
Raise awareness of plastic pollution by recording a song or creating a video.
Why?
Art is a powerful communication and persuasion tool used by cultures around the world.
What you need to know:
Have you heard of “artivism?” A blend of art and activism, the term has been used to describe art created to raise awareness of social and environmental issues.
What to do:
Write and record a song or create a video about plastic pollution. Get inspired by our friend Jack Johnson by watching this video. Jack is the co-founder of the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, inspiring people to reduce their plastic usage!
What to watch out for:
- Obviously, no profanity is allowed.
- Make sure you have permission to incorporate photos, video, or music that is not your own. Stock photos and music often cost money to use.
Tips:
Aim for 1-2 minutes.
