Long Beach Organic

Sister Non-profit

Back in December 1994, Charles Moore founded Algalita and Long Beach Organic on the same day because he knew that the best way to protect our oceans was to start with preserving our soils and practicing local food production to reduce fertilizer runoff, soil degradation, and the need for plastic food packaging. Long Beach Organic manages several community gardens in vacant lots around Long Beach.
