On May 23, we are launching a brand-new new program that honors over a decade of Algalita’s work with teachers and students. Wayfinder for Environmental Education is a free and open-source program that equips teachers and students with everything they need to explore the deepest depths of environmental education, while supporting each other and celebrating our humanness every step of the way. Join us for our launch event and celebration happening via Zoom on Tuesday, May 23 from 4-5pm PT.We’ll be raffling off prizes, playing hot trivia throughout the event, and will be challenging everyone to a virtual scavenger hunt. Prizes will include gift certificates, reusables, classroom tool kits that have not been publicly released, and so much more! Our team will also make sure you’re prepped to use the program for the upcoming school year as we walk you through the website highlighting our:

Lesson Plans that are aligned to educational standards and created by experts based on real data and primary sources;
How to Guides that address challenges with teaching environmental education;
Classroom Experience Kits packed with tangible materials and interactive tools to enhance classroom learning;
Virtual Events where teachers connect with Algalita and other environmental education educators through fun, interactive events aimed at sharing knowledge;
Grant Opportunities that empower teachers to create dynamic learning opportunities for their students;
Community News that celebrates the impact of our Wayfinder Society community in classrooms all over the globe; and a
(Launching August 2023) Student Hub that provides free, self-guided resources for students that augment classroom learning – including videos, environmental actions, grants to support community projects, and opportunities to earn service learning hours.
